This course aims to provide learners with the foundational knowledge of Islam that is obligatory for every Muslim to know and practice (Fard ‘Ayn). The course covers three main modules: Aqidah (creed), Fiqh (jurisprudence) and Tasawwuf (spirituality). To understand and affirm the core beliefs of Islam of the oneness of Allah (Tawhid), Prophethood (Risalah), and Escatology (Akhirah).
To equip learners with the practical knowledge of how to perform the acts of worship and the transactions that are required or recommended in Islam, such as purification, prayer, fasting, zakat, hajj, marriage, divorce, etc.
To inspire learners to cultivate a sincere and refined character and comprehend underlying characteristics, including repentance, gratitude, patience, pride, envy, anger, etc.
