This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn Arabic through the Quran, the sacred scripture of Islam. The course aims to teach the students the basics of the Arabic language, such as the alphabet, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and the rules of recitation, as well as sentence structure and the meanings of the Quranic verses. The course follows a structured and easy-to-use pattern, which gradually builds up the students’ skills and knowledge from beginner to advanced level. The course is suitable for anyone who is interested in the Quran, Islam, Arabic, or the Middle East, regardless of their religious or cultural background.

This course aims for learners to

  • To equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to read, understand, and analyse the Quran and its related texts in their original language.
  • To introduce students to the linguistic and rhetorical features of the Quran and how they contribute to its meaning and interpretation.
  • To expose students to the diversity and richness of the Quranic vocabulary and expressions and to help them expand their own Arabic lexicon.
  • To foster students’ appreciation and love for the Quran and its teachings and to inspire them to apply its guidance in their lives.

  3. Analyse and interpret the Quran and its related texts through literary and grammatical analysis.

After applying, your name will be added to the class for enrolment. This provision has a limited capacity and students will be added on a first come first served basis.
